How to Take Awesome Photos for Depop

Using PhotoCut for Depop and Having the Right Image Size

If you want to sell your items quickly and effectively on Depop, having great photos is key. Photos make up 80% of the sale, so it's important to use a good photography app like PhotoCut.

The ideal dimension for Depop photos is a square ratio, 1:1, with a dimension of 1280 pixels by 1280 pixels. You can easily find this canvas size in the PhotoCut app.

Take 4 Photos

Depop allows you to upload four photos of your item. Make sure to find a well-lit area, like near a window, to take your photos.

Take four different photos of your item: one from the front, one from the side, one from above, and a close-up shot, especially if you're selling a handbag.

Edit in PhotoCut

Open the PhotoCut app and tap the + button to start with a photo. Then, tap the Multiple button on the top left corner.

Select the images you just took and choose a template for Depop. Bright and colorful backgrounds work well, and a small white outline can make your item stand out.

PhotoCut will automatically remove the background from your photos. Make any necessary edits and then validate your changes by tapping on the top right corner.

Upload to Depop

Once you're happy with your edited photos, upload them to Depop or your favorite marketplace to showcase your items in the best possible way!
