Introduction
Hey there! Have you ever wanted to keep the original background of your photo instead of using a Photocut background? Well, you're in luck! Let me show you how you can do just that.
Keeping the Original Background
Photocut is great at removing backgrounds from photos, but sometimes you may want to keep the original background for your design. Here's how you can do it:
Use the Original Background Template
If you want to keep the entire background from the original photo, you can use the Original image template:
- Select Start from Photo on the Create page and choose a photo to import.
- Photocut will remove the background automatically.
- In the Classics collection of templates, select Original image.
- Photocut will add a background layer using the original background from your photo.
- Edit the image as needed, then select Export to save and share your design.
Use the Retouch Tool
If you only want to keep part of the original background, you can use the Retouch tool:
- Select Start from Photo on the Create page and choose a photo to import.
- Photocut will remove the background automatically.
- On the image preview, select Cutout.
- Choose Restore and draw over the parts of the background you want to keep. Use Erase if needed.
- Choose a template for the background, edit the image, then export your design.
And there you have it! Now you know how to keep the original background of your photo in your designs. Have fun creating!
